Detailed description

The “UfR – Companies for Resource Protection” funding program supports you in implementing voluntary projects in your company that lead to greater resource efficiency in operations. This enables you to tap into savings potential in the areas of energy, water and raw materials.

 

Information

Prerequisites

  • Your company has a branch in Hamburg.
  • Grants are awarded for the achieved resource or climate protection effect. The Hamburg Investment and Development Bank (IFB Hamburg) awards grants for the achieved resource or climate protection effect.
  • Your plans go beyond the legal requirements.
  • The funding has a payback period of at least 2 years.
  • You submitted your funding application before the start of the project.

Please note

The funding program aims to ensure that voluntary investment projects lead to a reduction in environmental impact. The funding is therefore based on the tonnes of CO2 or CO2 equivalents avoided each year or the cubic metres of water saved.
The amount of funding is determined in funding priorities 2-7 by avoiding
CO2 emissions. Irrespective of this, the following maximum permissible funding intensities apply with regard to the eligible costs (funding for
eligible costs):

  • in funding priority 1 (efficiency checks) a maximum of 50 percent,
  • in funding priority 2 (energy efficiency) a maximum of 30 percent,
  • in funding priority 3 (material efficiency and water) a maximum of 40 percent,
  • in funding priority 4 (renewable energies for process heating/cooling) a maximum of 45 or 30 percent, depending on the method used to determine the additional investment costs,
  • in funding priority 5 (unavoidable waste heat) for additional investment costs associated with the
  • improvement of environmental protection, maximum 40 percent,
  • in funding priority 5 (unavoidable waste heat) for generation plants a maximum of 45 percent and for investments in the distribution network a maximum of the difference between the eligible costs and the operating profit, but not more than 50 percent,
  • in funding priority 6 (decarbonizing production) a maximum of 40 percent
  • in funding priority 7 (flexible use of energy) a maximum of 40 percent

The amount of funding can be increased for micro-enterprises and small and medium-sized enterprises in funding priorities 2 (energy efficiency), 3 (material efficiency and water), 6 (production
decarbonise) and 7 (flexible use of energy) by 10 percentage points and in funding priority 4 (renewable energies for process heating/cooling) by 5 percentage points.

Procedure

  • Please contact the Hamburg Investment and Development Bank for an initial consultation.
  • In a discussion with experts from the Hamburg Investment and Development Bank, you will clarify the eligibility of your investment project.
  • Please complete your application on the appropriate form and submit it together with all required documents and a detailed savings calculation.
  • Your application will then be reviewed by the Hamburg Investment and Development Bank. If necessary, the Hamburg Investment and Development Bank will request further documents or information from you.
  • The Hamburg Investment and Development Bank will decide on your application.
  • You will receive a notification.
